We offer a wide range of challenging tasks in the field of the autonomous software, such as the perception with cameras and LIDAR sensors, localization of the vehicle, stateestimation, mapping, or the planning and control on the track, but also software infrastructure, testing and integration. We develop and optimize our software stack for the formula student environment and our specific vehicle. This can include the latest research, but is still very product-oriented and puts the focus on the final product - the car.
You can use your knowledge hands-on and push the car to its limits, as well as see the effect your work has on the car's actual autonomous movement in the end. You learn the influence of disturbances on your concept and how to minimize the discrepancy between the real world behavior and the simulation.
You study Robotics, Informatics or something similar.
You have some understanding of mathematics and algorithms and have already gained some experience with at least one programming language, preferably C++ or Python.
You have a quick comprehension and the ability to familiarize yourself with complex tasks, are able to work in a team and have strong communication skills at the same time.
You can handle interpersonal interaction even in tense and stressful phases, always working goal-oriented, reliably and on schedule.
Any experience with software development (internship, working student, private projects, etc.) and with Linux, version control (git), or shell scripting is a plus.
